An issue of Collier's Weekly, an illustrated journal of art, literature and current events, Vol. 23 No. 3, published April 22, 1899. The cover features an illustration of a United States soldier standing over coffins draped in the American Flag, with the title, "Bivouac of the Dead". The caption reads, "In the Arlington National Cemetery, on April 6, three hundred and thirty-six of our soldiers who fell in the conflict with Spain were buried by the nation with all the honors of war."
