An issue of Leslie's Weekly Illustrated, Vol. LXXXVII No. 2242. It was copyrighted by the Arkell Publishing Company on 110 Fifth Avenue and published in New York on September 1, 1898. The front cover is a "Sketch of A Scene in Madison Square, New York, By. B. West Clinedinet" with the title,"Back From Bloody Santiago." The caption at top reads "This Issue Contains the First of a Series of Thrilling 'Stories of the Wounded,' Being the Personal Experiences of Our Soldiers in Cuba, by Cleveland Moffett." The caption at the bottom reads, "Wounded Veterans of the Spanish War Returning to New York Receive An Enthusiastic Welcome Wherever They Appear."
