Scope and Content

Black and white postcard. The image shows the McKinley Home Canton, Ohio in winter. The image is reproduced from a photo published by G.A. Bash and Co. Canton, O, as is noted in the lower right corner of the image. The back of the postcard is as follows. The words "Post Card" along with the notation to "Place Stamp Here" are on the right of the card. On the left of the card is "THE MCKINLEY HOME IN WINTER MARKET AVE. NORTH CANTON, OHIO 44th Annual Exhibition of MCKINLEY STAMP CLUB OF CANTON April 26-27, 1975. Number 2 of a Series Photo from Original Plate in McKinleyana Collection of Mr. & Mrs. George R. Bechtel Jr. of Canton, Ohio" The McKinley Postmark on the back of the card includes an image of McKinley and reads "McKinley Stamp Club Ex. Sta. Apr 26, 1975 44711 Canton, Ohio." The card is stamped with a five cent stamp of a United States flag over the White House. There is also a three cent Ohio Sesquicentennial Stamp.
