White paper with the following typed in black ink on the front: "THE FRONT DOOR LATCH This latch was from the outside front door of President McKinley's famous home in Canton, Ohio. This latch was used to fasten the outside front doors closed from the outside. Upon opening these doors, one reached the main front doors of the home. The outside front doors might be compared to the present day screen or storm door. This famous home had double outside and inside front doors, as well the case of nearly all large homes of that era."
