Scope and Content

Stark County Stamp Club letter. The letter is typewritten on white paper. The heading contains an image shoing multiple postmarks with the word "Starpex in the lower right corner and the caption "The Stark County Stamp Club" across the bottom of the image. To the right of the image is the heading: "The Stark County Stamp Club of Canton, Ohio." the letter is dated October 7-8, 1967, with "Starpex VII" beneath it. The letter reads as follows: 'Dear Friend, Thank you for your interest in the Cacheted Covers of the Stark County Stamp Club's, Starpex VII Exhibition. Each year we honor an event, association or society, anniversary, or other Stark County activities at our Annual Exhibition. This year we honoring the most historical figure of Stark County, our martyred President William McKinley. The Stark County Historical Society has the most complete collection of McKinleyana material in the world, and you are invited to visit their museum. We appreciate the Museum's cooperation in preparing the cachet. The center picture shows William McKinley in his Canton office - the small designs, the Memorial monument and the President. May we take this opportunity to invite you to visit the Stark County Stamp Club. Our regular meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at the Canton Y.W.C.A., 6th and Walnit N.E., Canton, Ohio at 7:30 p.m. The Annual Exhibition is held the second week-end in October.
