Black and white postcard. The front shows William McKinley accepting the nomination for his second term as President on July 12, 1900. The image shows President McKinley standing on a platform, flanked by bunting, with many listeners.
The caption on the back reads as follows:
"PRESIDENT MCKINLEY ACCEPTING THE NOMINATION FOR THE SECOND TERM, JULY 12, 1900

There are two postmarks: the first is located under the return address area and reads "McKinley Stamp Club Ex. Sta. Canton, OH. 447 April 6, 1974." The second is located on the stamp and reads the same as the first stamp. The stamp is a United States eight cent postage stamp with the image "Rise of the Spirit of Independence" and has a black and white image of the painting of the same name, and the caption "Rise of the Spirit of Independence" along with a Bicentennial star in red under the image.Collection
