William McKinley, President, 100th Birth Anniversary Envelope Cover, Jan. 29, 1943.
The postmark reads, "CANTON, OHIO. JAN 29 1943, 4:30 PM." A seven cent black and white "McKINLEY, UNITED STATES POSTAGE" stamp is located in the upper right hand corner. "BUY WAR SAVINGS BONDS AND STAMPS" and black cancellation lines run through the stamp.
The envelope is addressed to "William H. Green, Green's Music Store, Canton, Ohio." A black and white image of McKinley, facing right, is located on the left side. "WILLIAM McKINLEY, President 1897-1901, Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of his birth at Niles, Ohio, January 29, 1843" reads below. Running vertically along the side of the image is a signature that reads "Louis J Elsaesser, Postmaster."
The back has the number 10 written on it.
