Scope and Content

McKinley Four Centavos Philippine Islands Postage Stamp [1921] Envelope. One stamp, a rose colored four (cents) centavos (William) "MCKINLEY, PHILIPPINE ISLANDS, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" stamp is affixed to the upper right hand corner. The wavy lines of a flag run through the stamp. The postmark is difficul to read, possibly [MANILA, P.I. MAR 8-30 A 1921]" The hand written return address reads, "From Agripino Mendoza #225 Perdigon Paco, Manila P.I." The envelope is addressed to: "Mr. J. Richards Shadyside, Ohio, U.S.A." Hand written in the lower left hand corner is "10¢." A date stamp which reads, "APR 8 1921," and a smudged postmark with wavy lines is located on the back.
