Memorial Work: Chuck McCauley of Joseph Painting Contractors Inc. of Boardman uses a snorkel truck as he touches up lettering on the McKinley Memorial on Main Street in Niles Tuesday. William McKinley, 25th president of the United States, was born in Niles. Today is the anniversary of his assassination [McKinley was actually shot on September 6th and died on September 14th] in 1901. The memorial is also the site of a library.
