Performance Agreement
This is to confirm that Carol Starre-Kmiecik has agreed to perform the Character of Calara Barton For the McKinley Museum On the date and time specified below, Saturday March 18, 2017 at 2:00 PM. This performance is secured for the agreed upon fee of 175.00
A private dressing room is required which is NOT a public restroom. It is Understood that the performance will entail thirty to forty-five minutes of Presentation followed by a question and answer period.
Fee payments may be made at the conclusion of the performance. No deposit is required. Please give at least twenty-four hours noticce in the event of a Cancellation. Performances of Famous American Women are one-woamn plays and a well-lit stage will bring your audience the mst professional results. A podium is needed for performances of Dorothy Fuldheim, Clare Booth Luce, Elizabeth Seton, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and Dolley Madison. A clip on lavalier microphone is suggested for groups larger than one hundred. The program on Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis is done entirely at a podium and with a very soft voice and so a microphone is requested at the podium.

Page three is the introduction read by Trish Scarmuzzi at the performance, It was written by Ms Starre-Kmiecik and reads as follows:
"Clara Barton (Opening Introduction)
The Civil War was raging... every day hundreds of men were dying painfully, often needlessly of their wounds. There were no trained nurses in the United States. Not a one of them. "The battlefield is no place for a woman," people would say. Yet, nothing could stop Clara Barton in her mission of mercy. Where the wounded were, there she must be. Before her great work was done, the American Red Cross was founded and countless lives were saved.
Closing
In the last moments of her life, she seemed to be on the battlefields among the wouldned of Antietam, Fredricksburg, Chantilly. She struggled to sit up, throwing off tthe tender hands which tried to restrain her. "Let me go! "Let Me go!" She was gone."

"Biography Carol Starre-Kmiecik has been performing on stage for over 35 years. She has a Bacheolr's Degree in Sppech and Theater Arts from Baldwin-Wallace College and studied Improvisational Theatre at Chicago's Second City for 2 years. She has appeared in over 60 plays, several films, television shows and commercials and has been a spokesperson at hundreds of trade shows, conventions, and seminars throughout the ountry. She hhas worked as a makeup artist, taught children's theatre classes and has directed plays, she has portrayed historical characters for schools, libraries, historical societies, women's organizations, senior citizens groups, churches, synagogues, theatres, social service organizations, literary groups, scouting troops and has done Civil War re-enactments.
