The item is a black shadow box containing a beige colored menu of a dinner held in Governor McKinley's honor in Boston. The box also contains a dried boutinere that McKinley supposedly wore during the event. The left side of the document features names of distinguished people at the event and the right side features the menu. The menu view is obscured by a smaller booklet entitled, "Dinner of the Home Market Club, Hotel Vendome, Boston, Wednesday, May 3, 1893." Two purple bows are in the center of the shadow box. The document features a handwritten note in the margin saying "Presented by Gomer McKinley." Another handwritten is featured at the top of the menu but is obscured by the frame. At the bottom of the menu, "French & Adams, 357 Washington, St. Boston." is listed.Collection
