My Dear Mr.Butler:
I have your favor of the 17th inst. and cannot express to you the pleasure I feel over the happy settlement of the monument claim.
I wish you would say to Mr.Caldwell that I congratulate him and beg you will ac-cept my thanks for the amicable settlement.
