Scope and Content

This postcard is the first of a 3 part set that features one of President McKinley's favorite hymns. The image on the card features a woman standing and praying by a stream. An angel is standing next to her with a light shining down on the angel. The text on the front, "Lead Kindly Light amid the encircling gloom, Lead Thou me on. The night is dark and I am far from home, Lead Thou me on. Keep Thou my feet, I do not ask to see The distant scene, One step enough me."
