The front cover features an illustration of women standing around a stage entrance and a little boy selling papers. The title reads "American Beauty's Tribute to English Genious" with the caption "New York's fashionable matinee girls waiting at the stage entrance of the Knickerbocker Theatre in New York to welcome and applaud Miss Ellen Terry, the famous English actress, whose engagement with Sir Henry Irving has been such a phenomenal success."
