An issue of Leslie's Weekly Illustrated, Vol. LXXXIX No. 2303, it was copyrighted by the Judge Company in New York on October 28, 1899. The front cover features an image drawn by F. Cresson Schell of sailboats with the title "Snapping Of The 'Shamrocks' Topmast." The caption reads,"The Unfortunate Accident To The Cup-Challenger By Which Its Enormous Club-Topsail Was Carried Away In A Freshening Breeze, Thus Giving The Race To The 'Columbia.'"
