Handwritten, framed letter of provenance for the items in the Butler Collection from Dervock, County Ireland. The letter reads as follows:
"Dervock July 10th 1925

General Grocer, Draper, Boot and Hardware Merchant
Rev. John R. Kenny visited the old McKinley homestead today and received a brick from the fireplace used by the McKinley family over one hundred years ago. Also a turf (peat) spade of same antiquity and a shovel, sickle and hedge hook.
