The item is a white ribbon with black lettering and features the words, "Dedicated by the People of Toledo, Ohio to the the Memory of William McKinley, Born, January 29, 1843, Died, September 14, 1901, These were his last words: 'Good-bye all! Good-bye! It is God's way: His will be done---Not ours.'" The ribbon features a sketch of the statue of McKinley.
