McKinley Five Cent Postage Stamp Sept. 30, 1904 Envelope.
A blue five cent (William) "MCKINLEY, COMMEMORATIVE SERIES, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" stamp is affixed to the upper left hand corner. A partial postmark appears
below the stamp with the letters "ANS". A dated partial postmark in the lower left hand corner reads, "[?SAGE] CITY SEP 30 2 PM 1904." Postmark lines in an oval pattern are situated next to the stamp and dated postmark.
"Monfieur" is written in the upper right hand corner of the envelope. The envelope is hand written in script and is addressed to:"Monsieur Auguste Vincen[t], 8, Place Victor Hugo a Grenoble Gsere, France."
A postmark is stamped on the back, but is only partially legible. "[?] NOBLE 22* [11 O] 04 [?SERE]." Five small pieces of yellowed tape are adhered in different locations. "#326" is handwritten at the bottom.Collection
