Scope and Content

McKinley Four Centavos Philippine Islands Postage Stamp March 14, 1937 Envelope. Three rose colored four (cents) centavos (William) "MCKINLEY, PHILIPPINE ISLANDS, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" stamps are affixed to the upper right hand corner of a tan colored envelope. Across all three stamps are postmarks, with lines, that read, "MANILA MADRID ARNACAL FLIGHT-1936 2CENTAVOS2." A dated postmark reads, "MANILA P. I. MAR 14 2 AM 1937.": The return address reads, "FROM - JAIME FELICIANO, Kolambugan, Lianao, Philippine Islands." It is addressed to: "NO. D 1210, TATHAM STAMP & COIN COMPANY, 281 Belmont Ave. Springfield, Mass., U.S.A." In the lower left hand corner written in pencil is "15¢." The back has a series of advertisements for buying and selling coins and stamps.
