Description

This is the black silk commemorative ribbon worn by George B. Cortelyou at William McKinley's funeral at Canton, Ohio in 1901. The visible letters on the back of the pin are "A Badge Nov'lty Co. Clev D.C." There is a typewritten card, with the text: " Funeral ribbon worn by my grandfather at Wm. McKinley's funeral in Canton."
