Scope and Content

McKinley Post Office Dedication Envelope postmarked "Niles, Ohio" and addressed to "Ralph Melfi, P.O. Box 24, Wampum, Pa." The date is not visible. There are 3 postage stamps affixed to the envelope, a red two cent stamp with the image of George Washington, a green one cent George Washington, and a black seven cent William McKinley, located across the upper right hand corner. On the left side of the envelope is a stamp in purple of President McKinley. To the left of his portrait is "NILES" and to the right is "OHIO." Arced above his head are the words "POST OFFICE DEDICATION." Below him are the words "BIRTHPLACE Wm. MCKINLEY, 25th PRESIDENT, 1843, 1901." The back is plain.
