McKinley Stamp Club Postcard, McKinley 97th Birth Anniv. Jan. 29, 1940. The postcard is turquoise in color. The postmark reads, "CANTON, OHIO. JAN 29 1940, 1 PM." A one cent green "GEORGE WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES POSTAGE" stamp is located in the upper right hand corner. Black cancellation lines run through the stamp.
The envelope is addressed to "Mr. Bill Green, 124 Cleveland Ave, S.W., Canton, Ohio." An image of McKinley, facing left, is located on the left side. "Mailed on the 97th Anniversary of the Birth of President William McKinley January 29, 1843" reads below.
On the back is a clover with the initials "NF.SC" inside and the following information is a type written invitation that reads:
"McKINLEY STAMP CLUB - CANTON, OHIO
You are cordially invited to attend our
NINTH ANNUAL DINNER AND EXHIBITION
to be held in the Belden Hotel, February 10th and 11th.
