Scope and Content

This item is a colored postcard with an image of President McKinley's tomb in Canton, Ohio. It is surrounded by lots of greenery and trees. This tomb was the original tomb of President McKinley before his body was moved to the Canton memorial after construction. On the back, postcard has a one cent stamp of Benjamin Franklin and a postmark from Canton Feb 6 1909. It is addressed to, "Miss Bessie McCausland Massillon O. [6 N Grafe St] from W.L.M." W.L.M. is writing to Bessie to let her know his or her location and to tell her to write to him or her. Leipzig Berun Dresden Litho-chrome Trademark Germany. No. A 12482.
