This is a celluloid, metal, and paper pin, with a dark gold silk ribbon adhered to the bottom part of the pin. Centered on the front of the pin is a sepia toned sketch/picture of the McKinley Monument with an almond color background. Arched above the sketch are written letters and words in brown that read: "O. S. M. A. Canton, O. (Ohio State Medical Association, Canton, Ohio). Written in brown below the sketch is the date "1906." Attached to the pin is a dark gold colored ribbon with the word reading: "Member." On the reverse side is a metat stick pin for attachment. The ribbon is secured inside a metal ring that holds the piece together. The ribbon is plain. The inside of the pin has a paper insert with the following information written on it: "The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J." A union label is imprinted below this reading: "Allied Printing Trade [Union Label] Council, Newark, N. J." The number 3 is located to the right of the label. Below the label reads: "Patented July 17, 1894. April 14, 1896. July 21,1896."Collection
