Paper ballot showing the "Official Ballot for Granite Precinct, Grant County, November 6, 1900." The paper is very light weight, like that used for airmail. The front of the sheet is yellow, with tears at the upper corners and along the left side, also water stains in the upper corners and along the right side. Two areas at the top of the page are marked "Stub." The left stub is also marked "To be torn off by the Chairman." The right stub is marked "To be torn off by the First Clerk." The title is written in bold black old English lettering beneath the stubs. the instructions "Mark Between the number and Name of Each Candidate or Answer Voted For." is in black lettering beneath the title. The word "STATE" is printed in black letters below the instructions. The words "For elector of President and vice-President of the United States." and "Vote for Four" are printed in black letters beneath the word State. The numbers 12 through 31 extend down the left side of the page. The Republican electors are listed at the top of the list, on the left, but to the right of the numerals. Party affiliation "Republican" is listed to the right of the names. Names include Tilmon Ford of Marion County, J.C. Fullerton of Douglas County, W.J. Furnish of Umatilla County, and O.F. Paxton of Multnomah County. Republican Candidates are listed to the right of the electors, and read "For President: William McKinley. For Vice-President: Theodore Roosevelt." There is a double solid black line beneath all of this. Electors of the Democratic People's Party are listed as above and include Ernst Kroner of Multnomah County, Walter M. Pierce of Umatilla County, Dell Stuart of Multnomah County, and John Whitaker of Benton County. Democratic People's Party candidates are listed to the right of the Electors. These include "For President: William J. Bryan For Vice-President: Adlai E. Stevenson." There is a double black line beneath all of this. Electors of the Prohibition Party are listed as above and include N.A. Davis of Umatilla County, N.F. Jenkins of Josephine County, C.F. Mills of Vamhill County, and F.R. Spaulding of Wasco County. Candidates of the Prohibition Party are listed to the right of the Electors and include "For President: John G. Woolery. For Vice-President: Henry B. Metcalf." There is a double solid black line beneath all of this. Electors of the Regular People's Party are listed as above and include. T.V.B. Embry of Polk County, Lucus Henry of Wasco County, J.L. Hill of Linn County, and John C. Luce of Grant County. Regular People's Party candidates are listed to the right of the Electors and include "For President: Wharton Barker. For Vice-President: Ignatius Donnelly."There is a double solid black line beneath all of this. Electors for the Social Democratic Party are listed as above and include N.P.J. Folen of Multnomah County, Joseph Meindl of Clackmas County, J. Frank Porter of Baker County, and C.P. Rutherford of Harney County. Candidates of the Social Democratic Party are listed to the right of the Electors and include: "For President: Eugene Victor Debs. For Vice-President: Job Harriman." The bottom has five solid black lines. The top line is directly beneath the list and serves as a separator. The other four lines may be used for write-in candidates. The back of the page is blank, although it is a slight green color.
