Description

Part of the "Presidents of Ohio" series. "Since the Gay Fad Studios were located in Lancaster, OH from 1945-1962, it's not surprising that Gay Fad produced numerous Ohio commemorative pieces, the most famous being the "Presidents from Ohio" tumbler set that honors the eight U.S. Presidents born in Ohio, the "Cradle of Presidents." The front of each President's frosted tumbler features his portrait, a facsimile of his signature, and his year(s) in office with "Presidents From Ohio" above, all in brown, while the back shows his birthplace in brown with colorful accents. Benjamin Harrison - 1889-1893 (America's 23rd president; grandson of William Henry Harrison and born in same place; lost his bid for reelection; defeated by Grover Cleveland.) Tumbler stands 5-1/8" tall with a diameter of 2-3/4" at the rolled rim and not quite 2-3/8" at the base." Retrieved 12.13.2016 from http://www.santafetradingpost.com/gay_fad_1b1.html#3
