Part of the Presidents from Ohio series. ""Since the Gay Fad Studios were located in Lancaster, OH from 1945-1962, it's not surprising that Gay Fad produced numerous Ohio commemorative pieces, the most famous being the "Presidents from Ohio" tumbler set that honors the eight U.S. Presidents born in Ohio, the "Cradle of Presidents." The front of each President's frosted tumbler features his portrait, a facsimile of his signature, and his year(s) in office with "Presidents From Ohio" above, all in brown, while the back shows his birthplace in brown with colorful accents. We are proud to have found six of the eight tumblers and are diligently searching for the other two. Our set of six tumblers depict: James A. Garfield - 1881 (America's 20th president; second president to be assassinated while in office, the first having been Abraham Lincoln.)
