Description

Badge has gold scroll work on top. It connects to the bottom via a gray/faded blue ribbon/ The text on the ribbon reads "Republican State Convention Alternate Badge, Toledo, Ohio, 1897." in gold. The bottom of the badge is circular, enameled, and has a print of a frog on a lily pad and butterflies in the grasses of a pond. The back has a pin with coil and claso that has been glued to the metal at the top. Beneath this, the text reads "Whitehead & Hoag Co., Newark, New Jersey." The rest of the back is blank.
