Small booklet of seals sold to raise funds for the McKinley Memorial Hospital League The text on the front cover reads as follows: "Purpose of the William McKinley Memorial Hospital League. (1) To obtain by voluntary subscription a fund, to be known as 'The William McKinley Memorial Hospital Fund.' (2) To erect a Memorial to our beloved deceased President, William McKinley, in the form of a non-sectarian Hospital, to be erected in the city of New York, open to all members of the Medical Profession, who may admit and conduct their individual cases with every facility afforded in a modern equipped hospital. (3) To establish branches, camps, etc., for the treatment and cure of Tuberculosis, in the States of the Union, subject to the approval of State government and the Advisory Committee of the William McKinley Memorial Hospital League. A few extracts from letters received, appearing on other pages, may interest you SEAL YOUR LETTERS WITH MCKINLEY SEALS." There is a sketch of the seal in the middle of the text, and a small leaf logo above the final statement. Text on the back of the booklets reads as follows: "Chandler Bros. & Co. Philadelphia, Pa. Gentlemen: We herewith enclose check for $10.00 contribution to the work of & Co. The State National Bank Maysville, Ky. Gentlemen: we are in receipt of yours of the 19th enclosing Seals addressed to our president, Mr. C. D. Pearce. We enclose you our draft for $5.00 and request you to send us four more books for our use, as we are happy to contribute the small amount to so worthy a cause. Very truly, H.C.
