Description

The item is a Spanish American War medal belonging to James R. Graham. Graham enlisted in the U.S. Army on August 12, 1895 at the age of 25. He served in the army for 6 years before being honorably discharged on November 9, 1901. Graham arrived in Cuba on June 23, 1898 and stayed until August 12, 1898. The ribbon is navy, red, and yellow, and features a bronze engraved medal. On one side of the medal "Army Of Occupation Military Government of Cuba 1898-1902" is engraved with olive branches and a shield. On the other side "United States Army For Service" is engraved with an eagle and stars.
