Description

The item is a Spanish American War veterans grave marker. The marker was found among the possessions of James R. Graham. Graham enlisted in the U.S. Army on August 12, 1895 at the age of 25. He served in the army for 6 years before being honorably discharged on November 9, 1901. Graham arrived in Cuba on June 23, 1898 and stayed until August 12, 1898. The marker is in a cross shape. The marker lists Cuba, Puerto Rico, U.S.A., and Philippine Islands on it. In the center circle it says Spanish American War Veterans 1898-1902 Army United Navy. Back side has holes and wooden stick.
