William McKinley Collage Envelope postmarked "MARIETTA, OH, AM, 1966, 45750" and addressed to "MR. & MRS. FRANK R. STULTZ, HOWARD PLACE, WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA."
One 5 cent, "National Park Service, 1916-1966" postage stamp is affixed to the envelope in the upper right hand corner. Cancellation wavy lines run across the stamp and envelope.
On the left side of the envelope is a collage of pictures in pink, black and white, including President McKinley, the Capitol Building, the White House, and McKinley's Birthplace Home in Niles, Ohio. Above the President's portrait is a banner with curtain like swags draped down on either side of him. The banner reads in 3 lines of text, "William McKinley, TWENTY-FIFTH PRESIDENT," with shields on either side of the text that are dated, "1843," and "1901."
Below the collage is a hand printed statement reading, "McKINLEY SHOT 65 YEARS AGO TODAY, SEPT. 6, 1901."
The back is stamped on the flap with the return address: "PIONEER CITY PHITATELIC SOCIETY, J. B. Devol, President, 833 Second Street, Marietta, OHio 45750."Collection
