An issue of Leslie's Weekly Illustrated, Vol. LXXXIX No. 2294. It was copyrighted by the Judge Company on 110 Fifth Avenue and published in New York on August 26, 1899. Printed at the top is "The Awful Hurricane in Porto Rico--Dewey's Enthusiastic Welcome Abroad-- The Celebrated Dreyfys Case, All Illustrated in This Issue." The cover is an illustration of an American soldier reaching to save a person from a flood in Puerto Rico, with the caption, "Ponce Swerpt by the Hurricanes Rushing Waters, Brave United States soldiers and native firemen rescuing the victims of the roaring torrents which carried destruction before them."
