Private Fred C. Leonard, Jr. joined the Harrodsburg National Guard unit sometime before it was activated in November 1940. He was taken prisoner on 9 April 1942. He was held at Camp O'Donnell and Cabanatuan #1. He died on 28 July 1942 at Camp Cabanatuan of cerebral malaria.Collection
