Itee Pootoogook (1951-2014) was part of a renowned graphic artist studio based out of Kinngait (Cape Dorset), Nunavut. Primarily working in graphite and coloured pencil, his works depict his friends and family and celebrate the little moments in everyday life. Drawing on the world around him and his own imagination, Pootoogook also created colourful and dramatic landscapes representative of the modern arctic.
His works can be found in the collection of the National Gallery of Canada and the Art Gallery of Ontario.Artwork Details
