This is a very rare ivory bow drill that was hidden in a cane so it escaped the view of dental collectors for many years. Bow drills have been used for thousands of years and were found in dental offices until electricity became readily available in the early 20th century. The enclosed image is from the tomb of Rekhmire 1479-1470 BCE.Condition
