This is a mold-cast bronze figure of Imhotep (ca. 664-30 BCE), or "the one who comes in peace." Imhotep was an Egyptian architect, engineer, and physician (2655-2600 BCE). Two thousand years after his death he was accorded the status of a deity and has been considered by some as “the founder of medicine.”
