Description

This is a collection of Chinese snuff bottles. During the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), powdered tobacco was believed to have had powerful medicinal properties. When mixed with herbs, spices, mint, camphor, and jasmine snuff was used to treat sinus, respiratory and digestive disorders along with acting as an analgesic.
