This is a very rare Paré triploides used to lift a piece of skull during the trepanning procedure. Its use is illustrated in the 1517 edition of von Gersdorff's "Fieldtbuch der Wunderartzney" (1517), then an illustration from Laurence Heister’s “A General System of Surgery” (1743) and finally the Paré triploides is sjown in “Art du Coutelier, De la Triploide et l’Elevatoire de Pare” (1765) by Denis Diderot.Dimensions
