Note

Records for Berj (Serge) Papelian have been found. His death certificate states that he was born in 1922 and passed away in 2022 in La Jarrie, France, near La Rochelle. Matild's death certificate has also been found, stating that she was born in Kuzguncuk on September 23, 1924, and passed away on January 25, 2022, in Bagneux, France. The death certificate for Vahram has been found and states that he died in 1958. The maiden name of Rebecca appears to be Abbou Khan on the document. Vahram Papelian was born on December 25, 1899, in Constantinople (now Istanbul, Turkey). He was naturalized as a French citizen by decree on March 24, 1939. However, during the Vichy regime, his naturalization was revoked on November 11, 1941, as part of a broader policy targeting certain naturalized citizens, including Jews, Armenians, and political refugees. At the time of his denaturalization, he resided in Hauts-de-Seine, France. His case was reviewed by the Commission of Withdrawal in June 1941, and the revocation was published in the official journal on November 17, 1941. Rebecca has a similar such record.
