Description

Mikayel Chamchian (December 4, 1738 – November 30, 1823) was an Armenian Mekhitarist monk, historian, grammarian, and theologian, best known for his influential three-volume history of Armenia. He produced this abridged version of his History of Armenia, both in Armenian (1811) and in Turkish (1812). The Armenian version was translated into English and published in Calcutta in 1827.
