Description

Violet, yellow, and light green, 158 x 95 mm. Serial numbers may carry the “Ա” or “Բ” prefix followed by six digits, indicating that as many as two million examples of this note could have been printed. Face: Angels trampling a dragon appear in the lower left and right corners. An ornamental 250 appears in the center with emanating rays. The design elements are enclosed within an ornamental framework with columns on either side. Back: One of Fetvadjian’s memorable designs appears on the back, a woman in traditional dress seated at a spinning wheel where she is preparing yarn. Two mythological griffins are seen to the right. The country name and denomination are written in Armenian, and in numeral form. The entire design is enclosed within an ornamental frame.
