Eduard Karl Ludwig Hoffmeister, known as Eduard von Hoffmeister after his ennoblement in 1902, was a Prussian lieutenant general and military historian. Born on July 7, 1852, in Karlsruhe, he passed away on May 20, 1920, in Heidelberg. Hoffmeister authored several works reflecting his extensive travels and military interests.
