Scope and Content

This document outlines the will of Bedri Gürcan, the testator. It begins with the following statement: "The division of movable property should be done in this way. Hopefully, there will be no disagreement among you, and it will conclude with a satisfactory result. If you encounter any difficulties, let me know, and we will think of a solution. Hopefully, none of the children will upset either you or one another. The movable property is not of great importance." The letter is written by Bedri to a sibling in response to the news of a relative's passing. Within the letter, Bedri mentions a woman, possibly named Pertiyan (or a similar name), who had cared for the deceased lady. He suggests that a portion of the inheritance, specifically some jewelry given by the deceased, should be left with Pertiyan in recognition of her services. The main focus of the letter is to address the inheritance arrangements and related matters. A notable excerpt from the letter reads: "I am very pleased that you have decided to leave the jewelry the late lady gave to Pertiyan? Hanım with her. After all, Pertiyan? Hanım took great care of the deceased, fulfilled her every wish, and served her greatly. We can never repay her for what she has done. If it is necessary to please her in some way, then let us do so. May she forgive any rights she holds. I also personally thank her for her respect and dedication." Pertiyan may be of Armenian descent
