Name/Title
Copper Cup (Hagop)Description
A copper vessel, possibly a cup with handle or a ladle. An articulated fish is incorporated into the body of the vessel; the fish is missing its head. The handle is topped with a bird figure. The lower end of the handle is not attached to the cup, and there is no evidence that it was ever joined, indicating this was part of the original construction.
The interior of the cup is stamped «Յակոբ» (Hagop). This mark may correspond to the same Hagop, possibly Hagop Boshgezenian, known from stamped inkwells, though this identification remains uncertain.Category
