Photograph of Anahit Mısırliyan dated February 1, 1917. A lifelong Constantinopolite, Anahit Mısırliyan became a physician and an active figure in Istanbul’s Armenian community. In 1960, a residence was built for her in the Moda district by the renowned architect Nişan Yaubyan. By 1969, she is recorded as serving on a committee to commemorate the historic Yesayan School. It appears she never married. Judging by her apparent age of three or four in the photograph, Anahit Mısırliyan was likely born around 1914.Category
