Victoria Euksuzian (left), sister of Simon Euksuzian (Photograph #9), was born in Ünye and immigrated to the United States in 1911. She married Neshan Garabad Shamigian. On the right is Nazenik (Bostanjian) Euksuzian, wife of Simon, who arrived in the U.S. in 1904. Seated in the center is their daughter, Arax, who was born on June 11, 1909, in Richmond, VA. The flag behind them represents the ՀՅԴ (Armenian Revolutionary Federation), and the three women are dressed in Red Cross uniforms, signifying their role in providing aid to Armenians, possibly as members of the Armenian Relief Society.Photograph Details
