Wedding photograph of Harry Bagdasar and Arshalouys (Krikorian) Darhanian, who married around 1923. Harry was born on August 12, 1895, in Agn (present-day Kemaliye, Turkey), while Arshalouys was born in Erzurum in 1907 (though some records indicate 1904). Arshalouys immigrated to the United States in 1922, whereas Harry had arrived much earlier, in 1903. The couple settled in Richmond, Virginia, where they spent the rest of their lives. Harry passed away in 1984, and Arshalouys in 1981. They had four children: Elizabeth, Dora, Alice, and Virginia.Photograph Details
