In 1910, Richard III was performed on the Armenian stage for the first time, with Amo Kharazian in the lead role. This was followed by Romeo and Juliet, featuring Arshavir Shahkhatuni and Satenik Adamyan in the main roles. In was around this time that Julius Ceasar was published with the translation done by Matilde K. Baghdasarian from Bursa.
