Prof. Ruben Rakubian was a Columbia University professor in New York. Unfortunately, in 1912, with his doctoral degree in hand, he returned to Gürün and was hacked to death, along with his brother, Prof. Levon Rakubian, and his learned father, Stepan Rakubian during the Armenian Genocide.
